The mission of Huntington College of Health Sciences is to transform lives through education by offering accessible, convenient, affordable and comprehensive distance education in nutrition and the health sciences enabling adults to capitalize on their professional and personal potential within the communites in which they live. Goals & Objectives HCHS has set the following goals and objectives to expedite its mission. Goal 1: To provide easily accessible, affordable, challenging, and comprehensive educational programs in nutrition and health sciences. Objectives: 1. Provide students with relevant, comprehensive, and science-based curricula consistent with the most updated research and information in the discipline of nutrition. 2. Confirm that every course experience fosters the development of sharp critical thinking and hones communicative skills through relevant and meaningful course experiences. 3. Provide competitively priced programs for individuals in diverse locations and on diverse time schedules. 4. Provide experiences in course-work that instill in students the realization of the need to continuously update skills and knowledge in order to stay current in this ever-changing field. 5. Recruit and retain faculty and staff with appropriate academic credentials and licenses. Goal 2: To have students complete programs and degrees that meet personal and professional aspirations in the area of nutrition and health science. Objectives: 1. Create and maintain convenient online-course communication through the Moodle platform. 2. Provide constant and easy accessibility to college staff. 3. Furnish relevant, current, and realistic curriculum. 4. Provide ongoing support, encouragement, and advisement for course-work. 5. Provide effective and timely communication with students from faculty and staff. 6. Ensure that staff is constantly trained and updated on the mission and goals of the college, current academic trends, and best teaching methodologies.
